Debra Nantz, 70, of Kirkwood, formerly of Cedar Hill, died Jan. 15, 2025. Ms. Nanz was raised in Webster Groves and moved to Cedar Hill later in life. She then became a resident at Manor Grove in Kirkwood. She was an avid lover of gardening and taking care of animals, especially her cats. Born Aug. 12, 1954, in Kirkwood, she was the daughter of the late Ivo and Ellen (Sentman) Nantz.
She is survived by a niece: Kelly Nantz; a great-niece: Ashley DeBella; two nephews: John (Amy) Nantz and Michael Nantz; two sisters-in-law: Carolyn Nantz and Mary Nantz; two close friends: Linda and Vicki; and numerous other family members and friends. The family would also like to thank the staff at Manor Grove for their care.
She was preceded in death by three elder siblings: William, David and Maryellen.
Visitation is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. until a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to an animal rescue of the donor’s choice or to the Missouri Botanical Gardens at missouribotanicalgarden.org/donate/make-a-donation. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
