David V. Ehlen, 78, of Imperial died Oct. 13, 2026, at his home. Mr. Ehlen was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Born Dec. 14, 1947, he was the son of the late Myrtle (Blomker) Ehlen and Edward Ehlen.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: M. JoAnn (Love) Ehlen of Imperial; three children: Samantha Ehlen, Cindy (Scott) Hearst and Sarah (Matt) Speno; nine grandchildren: Katie, Jeffrey, Scottie, Tyler, Ethan, Heidi, Libbei, Sophia and Nora; 10 great-grandchildren; and four siblings: Pam (Ray) Griffaw, Gerald (Debbie) Ehlen, Mark (Terry) Ehlen and Michael (Kim) Ehlen.
He was preceded in death by three siblings: Rosemary Ehlen, Jeannett (Bernie) Minx and
Beverly Ehlen.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A funeral service is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
