David J. Gracey, 63, of De Soto died Dec. 26, 2024. Mr. Gracey worked as a cabinet maker. He enjoyed playing and coaching softball. He also was a fan of Nebraska and the Kansas City Chiefs. Born Aug. 12, 1961, in Omaha, Neb., he was the son of Earl J. and Jo Ann (Corr) Gracey.
He is survived by a son: Tyler Gracey of De Soto; a sibling: Jack (Rosemary) Gracey of Omaha, Neb.; a nephew: Jason (Amanda) Rees of De Soto; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Timothy Gracey; and a sister: Judith (Doug) Rees.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 13225 Hwy. E., in De Soto. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
