Meier, Daniel 'Dan'

Daniel George "Dan" Meier, 62, of Cedar Hill died Oct. 28, 2026. Mr. Meier spent many years working as a mechanic at Fenton Auto Repair and later at Tosti’s Transmission in Fenton. He had a natural talent for fixing things and could repair just about anything that came his way. Outside of work, he took pride in his white Ford Mustang, whether he was adding upgrades to make it faster or simply keeping it shiny and clean. In his free time, he enjoyed bass fishing and had a passion for karaoke, often bringing his own karaoke machine wherever he went. He loved singing along to his favorite country artists, including Johnny Cash, Travis Tritt and Trace Adkins, sharing his love of music with those around him. He will be remembered for his mechanical talent, his love of cars, fishing, music and dogs and the memories he created with the people who meant the most to him. Born Jan. 17, 1964, he was the son of Joann (Zastrow) of Fenton and the late Robert Meier in St. Louis.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his girlfriend of five years: Rhonda Behnk of Arnold; three siblings: Robert (Donna) Meier Jr. of Imperial, Brenda (Don Crase) Meier of Cedar Hill and Steven (Linda) Meier of Ste. Genevieve; nieces and nephews: Reese, Trey, Ashley, Blake, Katelynn and Kyle; his pet: Sir Russell Meier; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Lisa Marie (Davis) Meier.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary at odas.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Fieser Funeral Home in Fenton.
