Clifton "Cliff" Lane, 86, of De Soto died Dec. 15, 2023. Mr. Lane was the owner and president (CEO) of Lane Consolidated Services. He loved his business, hiking and most importantly spending time with his family and friends. He served on the committees for Pony Bird, Comtrea, Jefferson County Council and EDC Jeffco. Born April 20, 1937, in Fertile, he was the son of the late Freda R. (Pinson) and Jesse J. Lane.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Sheila M. Lane.
He is survived by a son: Richard A. (Gayle) Lane of De Soto; a son-in-law: Rick L. Owens of De Soto; a companion: Debbie A. Verstringhe of De Soto; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends.
Cliff was preceded in death by a daughter: Tammy A. Owens; and a sister and brother-in-law: Freda and Dan Ficken.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St. and Mahn Ave., in De Soto. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Mike Rose. Burial will follow in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto.
