Cecil E. Huddleston, 81, of Park Hills, formerly of Hillsboro, died Feb. 15, 2026. Mr. Huddleston retired as a pressman from Orchard Corp., where he worked for many years and earned the respect of his colleagues. After retirement, he worked at The Cabinet Shop in Park Hills, which was owned and operated by his former wife and son-in-law. He was a Baptist and was known for his kindness and willingness to help others. His love of gospel music brought many people together as he frequently hosted gatherings at his home, providing guitars for friends and neighbors to play with, creating a welcoming atmosphere filled with music, food and fellowship. He also loved gardening and woodworking. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Born April 24, 1944, in Pocahontas, Ark., he was the son of the late Goldia (Swafford) Huddleston and William A. Huddleston.
He is survived by two daughters: Dana (Brett) Bischoff of Hillsboro and Regina “Dawn” (Teddy) Brooks of Park Hills; two bonus sons: Corey (Jamie) Spicer of Atoka, Tenn., and Chris (Lindsey) Spicer of Ellsinore; six grandchildren: Jessica (Aaron) Wurst of Park Hills, Brandon (Dana Lemp) Bischoff of Pevely, Joshua Brown of Park Hills, Jacob (Keaton) Brown of Farmington, Cheryl (Will) Sorbello of Irondale and Ty Brooks of Park Hills; eight bonus grandchildren: Ryle, Zoe, Haley and Avery of Atoka, Tenn., and Kaylynn, Calab, Elizabeth and Thomas of Van Buren; 10 great-grandchildren: Lillian, Emmalynn, Merclynn, Holdyn, Elliott, Wyatt, Orson, Macklee, Sebastien and Baker; two brothers: Carl “Junior” Huddleston of Grandin and Kenneth (Donna) Huddleston of Ellsinore; and four sisters: Juanita LeGrand of Ellsinore, Wanda Bourbon of Grandin, Marylin (Steve) Horvath of Alton, Ill., and Thelma (Chuck) Aldrich of Doniphan.
He was preceded in death by his former wife: Becky Huddleston; his friend of 13 years: Peggy Harrelson; five sisters: Leila Mae Huddleston, Blanche Martin, Helen Ward, Ruth Pierce and Margarette Saulsbery; three half-sisters: Grace Spence, Flossie Phillips and Dona Garrison; four half-brothers: Alvy, Carney, Gordon and Elzy Huddleston; and a great-granddaughter: Riverlynn Brown.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at Edwards Funeral Home, 606 Walnut St., in Doniphan. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
