Carolyn D. (Scott) Brown, 73, of High Ridge died July 23, 2026, in St. Louis. Mrs. Brown was known for placing the needs of others before her own and leading by example with kindness and grace. Strong in her faith, she enjoyed worshipping at church, singing the gospel and serving God. Gifted with many talents, she was an excellent cook, a skilled seamstress, good with a sharp pencil and a natural-born leader. She will be remembered for her faith, compassion, laughter, wisdom, encouragement and love. Born April 22, 1953, in Henderson, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Cummings) Scott.
She is survived by her husband: Ricky Brown; four children: Robyn Starks, John (Dana) Starks, Cami (Shawn) Brown and Cory Brown; eight grandchildren: Taylor (Mason) Starks, Isaac (Courtney) Starks, Ethan (Kayla) Brown, Kayla (Zareef) Starks, Kayli Brown, Oliva Brown, Brendan Brown and Caleb Brown; a great-grandchild on the way; three siblings: Gary (Sandra) Scott, Larry (Jessica) Scott and Bonita (Allan) Johnson; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Dwight Scott.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a celebration of life service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Messenger Church, 602 Summit Road, in Fenton. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
