Sipp, Brenda

Brenda Sharleen (Wolford) Sipp, 82, of Imperial died June 3, 2024. Mrs. Sipp was a 1975 graduate of Brandt’s Beauty School and practiced as a beautician at Ultra Image in South County. She was a devoted member of the Friendship Assembly of God in Lemay and often led the congregation in worship with her singing voice. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. Born Jan. 26, 1942, in Dorena, she was the daughter of the late Nina Mae Rettig and Alton D. Wolford.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Bobbie Jake Sipp.

She is survived by two sons: Clayton (Deanna) Sipp of Festus and Randy (Jolee) Sipp of Conway Springs, Kan.; two brothers: Daniel (Tamara) Wolford of Sand Springs, Okla., and Edward Wolford of East Prairie; two sisters: JoAnn (David) Jordan of Kevil, Ky., and Joy Counts of Zephyrhills, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Melvin Wolford and Talmage Wolford; two sisters: Shirley Jean Wolford and Carolyn Joyce Grisso; and three grandsons.

Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until a service at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. A dinner will take place at Friendship Assembly of God, 754 Regina Ave., in Lemay, 63125. Arrangements are under the direction of John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes.
