Betty Jean DeBasio, 86, of Herculaneum died April 28, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Ms. DeBasio retired as a cashier. She also was Catholic. Born Sept. 11, 1937, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Matich) and Charles DeBasio.
She is survived by three children: John Meyer of Herculaneum, Jayne Harman of Crystal City and Robert (Rachel) Meyer of Crystal City; two grandchildren: Maria (Eric) Tutskey of Kirkwood and Tyler Harman of Crystal City; three great-grandchildren: Lily Tutskey, Edie Tutskey and Frances Tutskey; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband: Robert Bernerd Meyer; and a half-brother: Donald DeBasio.
A celebration of life was held on May 5.
