Ashley Lynn Cooper, 35, of Dittmer died May 29, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Ms. Cooper worked as a pet grooming technician. She was a member of Morse Mill Baptist Church. Born Nov. 11, 1988, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Teri (Thompson) and David Cooper, both of Dittmer.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two children: Chase and Summer Read of Desloge; two siblings: Alex Cooper of Dittmer and Amber Kinney of Peoria, Ill.; grandparents: Gary and Kathryn Cooper of Dittmer; niece and nephews: Dalton and Kora Cooper of Dittmer and Brodie Kinney of Westville, Ill.; aunts and uncles: Rick (Kim) Thompson of Rockville, Ind., Jeff (Veronica) Thompson of Danville, Ill., and Lisa (Doug) Gollihue of De Soto; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Richard and Virginia Thompson; and an uncle: John Cooper.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Morse Mill Baptist Church, 6955 Hwy. B, in Dittmer, 63023, officiated by Rich Grayson. Memorials may be made to Bates Creek Church Camp via Morse Mill Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Michel Funeral Home in St. Louis.
