Arthur George Lassa, 88, of Hillsboro died Sept. 10, 2026, in St. Louis. As a young man, Mr. Lassa served in the Air Force and was in the reserves. He was proud of his service, and he carried that with him throughout his life. After his time in the reserves, he spent most of his career in sales and marketing. He worked for many years and owned Servpro before retiring. He was also a member of the CBC High School Alumni. He loved watching Ohio State Buckeyes football and Cardinals baseball, playing poker and shooting pool, enjoying pinball machines and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends, sharing laughter, conversations, memories and companionship. Born Dec. 22, 1937, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late George Lassa and Effie (Tucker) Lassa.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Jean (Santee) Lassa.
He is survived by a son: Dennis (Stacy) Lassa of Fenton; two daughters: Sherry (Dan) Claxton of Ballwin and Donna (Roman) Schepis of Stuart, Fla.; five grandchildren: Lauren, Nick, Jack, Adam and Kristen; and numerous other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a son: Mike Lassa.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 703 Third St., in Hillsboro, 63050, officiated by Father Stephen Lian. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro by mail or by calling 636-789-3356.
