Anna Marie Sparkman-Redmond, 87, of Imperial died March 23, 2026. Mrs. Sparkman-Redmond was known for her devotion to her Catholic faith and her commitment to family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking/cake decorating, sewing, quilting and gardening. She will be remembered for her warmth, strength and steady presence. Born Jan. 8, 1939, in Bloomsdale, she was the daughter of Aloysius and Adeline Carron.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Floyd “Frog” Sparkman; and her second husband: Bernard Redmond.
She is survived by five children: David (Vickie) Sparkman, Gerry (Mary) Sparkman, Carl (Janice) Sparkman, Linda (Keith) Jensen and Susan (John Jr.) Whitehead; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two children: Mark (Jeanie survives) Sparkman and Timothy Sparkman.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, at St. John the Beloved Disciple Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Road, in Imperial. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Livestream the Mass at saintjohnimperial.org/. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel in Hillsboro.
