Anita Louise Lee, 85, of Festus died Jan. 5, 2025. Mrs. Lee was a volunteer and member of the First Baptist Church in Arnold and in Festus. She also volunteered at Aging Ahead Senior Center. She enjoyed making and selling beaded jewelry for more than 20 years at art festivals. She participated in Bible studies and was an avid reader. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Born Sept. 3, 1939, in Memphis, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Marian (Baker) and Ollie Floyd Deardorff.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Robert E. Lee Jr.
She is survived by two children: Lelia (Tim) Mullins and Brian Edward Lee, both of Festus; three grandchildren: Mollie (Brent) Reeder of Hillsboro, Amanda Barbeau of Affton and Rachel (Danny) Ochiltree of St. Louis; nine great-grandchildren: Lillie, Stella, Hazel and Dawson Reeder of Hillsboro, Piper and Luc Barbeau of Affton and Kitt, August and Murphy Ochiltree of St. Louis; a niece: Donna Clemons of Sand Springs, Okla.; a nephew: Christopher Clemons of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Charlson.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at First Baptist Church of Arnold, 2012 Missouri State Road. An additional visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the church, officiated by Pastor Kenny Qualls. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
