Alice Theresa Kline, 95, of Festus died March 17, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Kline retired from Industrial Engineering and Equipment in St. Louis where she wired industrial heaters and panel boards. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. She loved dogs, attending the Missouri State Fairs in Sedalia, playing the lottery, fishing, crocheting and making quilts for her family. Born Nov. 12, 1930, in McBride, she was the daughter of the late Jettie (Hinkle) and Barney Buchheit.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years: Edward Kline Jr.
She is survived by a son: Ron E. Kline of Festus; three daughters: Wanda Kline Hampton of St. Charles, Judy (the late Edward) Bohnert of Perryville and Ruth (the late Franklin) Aubuchon; two sisters: Thelma Hotop of Jackson and Dorothy Coomer of Texas; two brothers: Leroy Buchheit of Texas and Ralph Buchheit of Spokane, Wash.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by four siblings: Valerie Nations, Lucille Buchheit, Oscar Buchheit and Barbara McCombs.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at the funeral home, officiated by Father Zac Povis. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
