Alfreda Marie Wolcott, 72, of Barnhart died Sept. 19, 2026, in Herculaneum. Mrs. Wolcott was a certified nursing assistant at Rest Haven Nursing Home, and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Herculaneum-Pevely. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, arts and crafts, coloring and scrapbooking. Known for her caring and giving heart, she often put the needs of others before her own and found joy in doing things for the people around her. Born April 2, 1954, in Crowley, La., she was the daughter of the late Ola and Ira Magnon Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Louis Ray Wolcott.
She is survived by three sons: Marcus (Stephanie) Wolcott of Barnhart, James (Lydia) Dworshak of Killeen, Texas, and Kevin (Kymbra) Wolcott of Crowley, La.; four daughters: Cynthia (Jason Potter) Kelley of New Caney, Texas, Victoria (Cody) Kidder of Lafayette, La., Danyell Wolcott of West Virginia and Margaret “Mia” (Mark) Demsko of Arnold; three brothers: Ira (the late Pamela) Magnon Jr. of Crowley, La., Caleb (Tina) Magnon of Crowley, La., and Chris Magnon of Orlando, Fla.; a sister: Lana (Eugene) Schmidt of The Villages, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law: Wilbert Istre of Crowley, La.; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Brenda Istre and Charlotte Arceneaux.
Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
