Ronald E. Morris, 69, Cedar Hill

Ronald E. Morris, 69, of Cedar Hill, died Aug. 15, 2023, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Morris was a residential union carpenter, then a commercial carpenter and he retired as a millwright. He took pride in his work and he used his carpentry skills to build the family home in Cedar Hill. He was known as an opinionated man. Born July 16, 1954, in Perryville, he was the son of the late Minne Caroline (Rutherford) and Albert Earl Morris.

He was survived by his wife: Penny (Reichardt) Morris; two sons: Brian (Sarah) Morris and Greg (Stephanie) Morris; six grandchildren: Kinsey, Phoenix, Rowen, Kynlee, Scarlett and Xander Morris; two special grandchildren: Kristen and Aliana Busse; and a sister: Lena (Michael) Butts.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Betty (David) Martin, Donald (Betty) Morris, Caroline (Troy) Stewart, Melba (Harley) Grice, Connie Waters, Sandra (Steve) Haas and Sondra (Dan) Hoelter.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 6300 Hwy. 30, Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
