Priska Kritzer, 90, De Soto

Priska Kritzer, 90, of De Soto died March 27, 2025, in De Soto. Mrs. Kritzer was a library matron at Mercantile Library. She was a skilled cook and baker who enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Born March 8, 1935, in Forst, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ida (Luft) and Heinrich Huber. She was preceded in death by her husband: Edwin Kritzer.

She is survived by two children: Diana (John) Thom of De Soto and Eric (Kara) Kritzer of St. Louis; a brother-in-law: Wally (Brenda) Kritzer: five granddaughters: Christine, Nicole, Erica, Abigail and Loretta; eight great-grandchildren: Annalise, Ethan, Trey, Chance, Sam, Oliver, Eli and Kameron; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a son: Udo Kritzer; two sisters: Resel Raab and Elisabeth (the late Leo) Baron; and a great-grandson: Devon.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial will be in Sunset Burial Park in Affton. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
