Myrtle (Mickey) Weber, 95, formerly of Hillsboro, died April 7, 2020. Mrs. Weber, who was born Oct. 27, 1924, worked for more than 30 years as an administrative assistant for August Bush III, and before that she worked at Grant’s Farm as a tour manager. After her retirement and her husband’s death, she sold her home in Sappington and built a lakeside home in the Raintree Plantation subdivision in Hillsboro, next door to her sister and brother-in-law, and they spent time together almost daily. She was a breast cancer survivor, but after her health deteriorated, her daughter moved in with her and took care of her. Mrs. Weber eventually went to live at a Delmar Gardens nursing home in St. Louis County. Before her husband, Henry, died, Mrs. Weber enjoyed taking cruises with him and other family members. She will be remembered as a loving and generous person.
She is survived by a son: Jerry Weber of Mountain View, Ark., her two granddaughters: Susan and Karen; four of her great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law: Amelia Gnau.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Toni Albrecht; her grandson: John; her sister and brother-in-law: Marion and Joe Friedman; and a brother.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (April 10) at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. However, due to the Covid-19 coronavirus and the stay-at-home orders, the services are strictly limited to immediate family. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
