Michelle Andrea Simpson, 60, of Festus died Aug. 1, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Simpson worked at the Festus Manor Nursing Center for many years and then Fountainbleau Nursing Center. She was a member of Buren Chapel AME Church in Herculaneum and a graduate of Herculaneum High School. She enjoyed meeting people, singing and dancing. Born Sept. 29, 1960, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Kinder) and Roy W. Simpson.
She is survived by a sister: Valerie Simpson-Wilks of Pevely; an aunt: Ozea Kinder of Crystal City; a special cousin: Nora (John Sr.) Murry of Herculaneum; and numerous family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 14, at Mahn Twin City Funeral Home, 515 Collins Drive, Festus, immediately followed by funeral services. A reception will follow at the Festus American Legion, 849 American Legion Drive. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Homes.
