Much, Maurice

Maurice A. “Reece” Much, 83, of Little Rock, Ark., died Nov. 1, 2020, in Little Rock. Mr. Much was a veteran of the U.S. Army, honorably discharged in 1964. He worked in St. Louis as an auto body repairman for Ford Motor Co. for 21 years. After retiring in 1983, he moved to Little Rock to join other family members in running the family clothing business. When he retired from that, he spent much of his time fishing on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Ark., and spending the winters in their home on Sanibel Island in Florida. He enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, wood carvings and word search puzzles. He was a member of First Christian Church in Sherwood, Ark., a 30-year member of the Elks Lodge Fraternal organization in Little Rock and Hot Springs and a member of the Sanibel Carvers Club. He was born Jan. 27, 1937,  

He is survived by his wife: Geraldine Much; a daughter: Sandy (Jeff) Weggenmann; a son: Scott (Nancy) Much; three grandchildren: Celeste Much Alvarado, Jessica Weggenmann Ingargiola and Jeffrey Weggenmann; and two great-grandchildren: Norah Alvarado and Noah Ingargiola.

He was preceded in death by five sisters; a brother; and a great-grandchild: Elizabeth Ingargiola

Due to COVID19, services will be private. Arrangements were under the direction of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in Little Rock.
