Mary Carlon (McCarthy) Hutchings, 77, of Pevely died Dec. 15, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Hutchings was born Sept. 21, 1944, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice Bradley McCarthy.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: William Jewell Hutchings Jr. of Pevely, whom she married on Jan. 15, 1966; two sons: William J. Hutchings III of Imperial and Timothy (Mandy) Brian Hutchings of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother: Ralph (Betty) McCarthy of Festus; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Edward McCarthy, Lawrence McCarthy and Jo Ella Barnes.
A celebration of life will be held for close family at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Sunshine Mission, 1315 Howard St., St. Louis, 63106. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
