Mary Alice (De Schepper) Amblo, 79, of House Springs died Jan. 10, 2022. Mrs. Amblo graduated from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing in Rockford, Ill., in 1964 and served more than 45 years as a registered nurse and certified operating room nurse, including 25 years in operating rooms at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County. She also served at medical facilities and hospitals in Illinois, Wisconsin, Montana, Arizona, Jefferson City and Washington State. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband: William “Bill” Amblo of House Springs; two daughters: Michele (Tom) Amblo Dyke of Affton and Annette (Tim) Amblo Hilyard of Festus; four grandchildren: Steven Dyke of St. Louis, Ryan Dyke of Affton, Renee Hilyard of Festus and Hannah Hilyard of Festus; a brother: David De Schepper of Rockford, Ill.; a sister: Rebecca De Schepper Hambley of Brodhead, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery in House Springs.
