Leona “Lee” Pease, 76, of House Springs died Feb. 26, 2021, in House Springs. Mrs. Pease was a special education teacher for more than 25 years and mainly worked for the Special Services Co-op at Windsor High School. She liked to read, and crocheted baby blankets for every baby born in her family. She will be remembered for always putting others first. Born April 23, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Mildred (Coleman) Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Pease.
She is survived by two children: Terry (Robyn) Pease of Cadet and David (Jennifer) Pease of House Springs; six grandchildren: Jason and Ryan Velasco, Brooke Scott, Ryan Pease, Christopher Lewis Jr. and Hannah Pease; six great-grandchildren: Eli, Cole, Delylah, Lilli and Jax Velasco and Paislee Scott; a son-in-law: Scott Velasco; four siblings: Beverly Branom of Tennessee, Becki Saylor of New Lebanon, Ohio, Horace “Junior” Davis of West Carrollton, Ohio, and Shirley Gilbert of Xenia, Ohio; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Lisa Velasco; and three siblings: Nancy, Barbara and Lexi.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday (March 13) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
