Hedrick, Leeman

Leeman O. Hedrick, 91, of Arnold died  Oct. 4, 2021, at Friendship Village in Sunset Hills. Mr. Hedrick was a diesel mechanic for Anheuser-Busch. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of Jeffco Detachment 707 of the Marine Corps League and the Arnold VFW post. He participated in an Honor Flight to Washington D.C in 2018. Born Feb. 4, 1930, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Thurman  and Josephine (Smith) Hedrick. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lillian I. (Ottermann) Hedrick.

He is survived by five children: Catherine (Richard ) Koeln of Arnold, Cheryl (Mike) Matthews of Catawissa, Cynthia Harrison of St. Louis, Steven (Tammy)  Hedrick of Imperial and Michael (Amanda) Hedrick of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Carey (Poncho), Krista (Dann), Daniel, Lucas (Miranda), Gregory, Morgan and Jack; seven great-grandchildren: Isaac, A.J., Conor, Rosa, Gabe , Eleanor and Adelynn; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild: Gregory.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Visitation is at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at St John’s Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St John’s Lutheran Church or to Jeffco Detachment 707 of the Marine Corps League. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
