Larry Wayne Henson, 68, of Festus died July 10, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Henson was a welder for the St. Louis Shipyards. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing. Born Dec. 1, 1952, in Annapolis, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Verla (Warnike) Henson. He was preceded in death by his wife: Brenda Yvonne (Nash) Henson.
He is survived by a son: Larry Henson of California; two daughters: Pamela (Jeramy) Renshaw of Festus and Lisa Henson of Hillsboro; a brother: Greg (Amie) Henson of Bonne Terre; two sisters: Sue Schutte of Cadet and Alma Lowe of Farmington; a sister-in-law: Judy Henson of Bonne Terre; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Vernon Henson; two brothers-in-law: Leroy Schutte and Ernest Lowe; and a grandson: John.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, at the funeral home. Burial is in the Mount Olive Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
