Judith L. Rose, 81, of Salisbury, N.C., formerly of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Arnold, died Dec. 25, 2020, in Salisbury. Mrs. Rose was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arnold and the VFW. She was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Peru, Neb., the daughter of the late Opal R. (Adams) and Archie B. Keup. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Henry H. Rose
She is survived by a daughter: Jeanne M. (William F.) Long of Salisbury; four siblings: Alan (Nancy) Keup, Nita Krueger, Suzanne (Dan) Hawke and Kathleen (Roger) Stander, all of Nebraska; three grandchildren: Amanda (Moises) Paz of Viera, Fla., Mallory (Chris Singleton) Long of Harrisburg, N.C., and Natalie Rose of Arnold; two great-grandchildren: Abigail and Madalyn Singleton of Harrisburg, N.C.; a daughter-in-law: Glenda (Roger) Rose-Wadlow of Imperial; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Richey Rose; and five siblings: Rodney Keup, Eldon Keup, Marylin Broekemeier , Linda Spellman and Gail Keup.
A graveside ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, officiated by Pastor Andy Becker. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, 63010.
