Joseph H. Thebeau, 78, De Soto

Joseph H. Thebeau, 78, of De Soto died July 26, 2022, in De Soto. Mr. Thebeau worked as a custodian for the Festus School District for more than 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, Cardinals baseball and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Born July 6, 1944, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Hazel Senter and Joseph Thebeau.

He is survived by three children: Joseph (Lori) Thebeau Jr. of De Soto, Paul (Janie) Thebeau of Newport, N.C., and Dawn Hagedorn of De Soto; a sister: Ruth (Roy) Finocchiaro of De Soto; two granddaughters: Brittany Thebeau of Lebanon and Elizabeth Hagedorn of De Soto; and a grandson: Dane Hagedorn of De Soto.

A memorial service will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St. Memorials may be made to the De Soto Food Pantry. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
