Jolie Belle McFarland, 13, of Festus, died July 7, 2020, at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Jolie was a student at Festus Middle School, where she was involved with cheerleading, track and the Junior Honor Society. She was a member of Flipside Cheer and enjoyed fishing, crafting, baking, listening to music, playing Fortnite, cuddling with her dogs but most of all she loved spending time with her family and being with her best friend, Kyley. She was born Aug. 11, 2006, in St Louis, the daughter of Benjamin Lee and Kendra Lea (Todd) McFarland of Festus.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother: Jaxon McFarland of Festus; her grandparents: Howard and Diane Todd of Odessa, Marla and John Rukavina of Willington and Richard McFarland of Wildwood; special grandparents David and Denise Picarella of Crystal City; three uncles: Matthew (Katherine) Todd of Odessa, Jonathan (Mindy) Todd of Higginsville and Alex McFarland of Wildwood; two aunts: Tonya (Brian) Lore of Overland Park, Kan., and Ashley McFarland of Wildwood; numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends; and her dogs: Charlie and Molly,.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Roxanne Vaughn; and two great-grandparents: Bernice McFarland and Homer McFarland.
Visitation is scheduled from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Dr., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 13, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev Dr. Randy Gray. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.
