Brogan, John

John Thomas Brogan Sr., 75, of Festus died Feb. 16, 2015, at his home. Mr. Brogan was a retired production mechanic for American Can Co. in Pevelyand a member of Our Lady Catholic Church in Festus. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army. Born Nov. 5, 1939, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Mildred (Goeddel) and John Brogan.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Cruz) Brogan; two daughters: Patricia (Denny) Long of Imperial and Paula (Bill) Morgan of St. Louis; two sons: John T. Brogan of St. Louis and Matt (Tee) Brogan of St. Louis; two brothers: Tim (Ronnie) Brogan of Arnold and Dan Brogan of St. Louis; six grandchildren: Tarah (Justin), Stacy, Kayla, Damian, Molly and Jack; and two great-grandchildren: Audrey and Johl.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Our Lady Church, 1599 St. Mary’s Lane, in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Jeffrey Maassen.  Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Vitas Hospice, 998 E. Gannon Drive, Suite 210, Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
