Joann Emily Fry, 80, of St. Peters died April 28, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Fry was a graphic designer for 30 years. Joann enjoyed spending time with her children and grandsons. She had a beautiful voice, played the piano by ear and was an artist, creating custom calendars to chronicle family memories. She won many awards from the American First Day Cover Society and was a celebrated and popular cachet maker along with her daughter, Robin. Born Dec. 6, 1936, in George, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Marie (Drewes) and John Sprock.
She is survived by two daughters: Robin (Brian) Wehner of Festus and Donna (Larry) Kimbrell of Inman, S.C.; her son and caregiver: David "Scott" Fry of St. Peters; two sisters: Betty (Dwayne) Harms of Columbus, Neb., and Marian (the late Paul) Foxhoven of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters-in-law: Dianne Sprock of Georgetown, Texas, and Liz Sprock of George, Iowa; three grandchildren: Chris Wehner, Kyle Wehner and Eric Kimbrell; her longtime friend: Cliff; and her beautiful lovebird: Sammie.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Gene Sprock and Charles Sprock.
