Jesse W. Riles, 92, Festus, formerly of Crystal City

Jesse W. Riles, 92, of Festus, formerly of Crystal City, died Nov. 15, 2021, at Festus Manor. Mr. Riles was retired from General Motors where he worked as a parts clerk. Born Nov. 29, 1928, in Corning, Ark., he was the son of the late George and Gracie (Melton) Riles.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Virginia (McDermott) Riles.

He is survived by four children: Ralph Riles of Ware, Sandra Allen of Spokane Valley, Wash., Doyle “Duke” (Terrie) Price of De Soto and Todd (Chris) Price of Herculaneum; nine grandchildren: Chris (Jessica) Thebeau, Rachel Bond, Liz (Joseph) Mathew, Dustin (Ashley) Price, Payton Price, Nicholas (Ashley) Price, Rebecca (Karl) Meredith and Ben Allen ; 10 great-grandchildren: Stella, Hendrick, Judah, Charlie, Scott, Jahndra, Anton, Aurora, Timothy and Esther; and a great-great-grandchild: Gideon.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Diana Koltun; a grandson: Justin Cain; and three brothers: Floyd, Gene and Clifford Riles.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 18) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday (Nov. 19) at the funeral home, officiated by Paul Schlett. Burial will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Ware. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
