Jesse James III, 68, of Crystal City died Dec. 11, 2017, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. James was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Crystal City. He enjoyed sports and fishing, going to casinos and spending time with family and friends. Born Aug. 11, 1949, in Farmington, he was the son of Jesse and Doris (Baker) James of Festus.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son: Jesse (Carrie) James Jr. of Carnegie, Pa.; five siblings: Darwin (Janet) James of Tacoma, Wash., Lonnie (Tammy) James of Hillsboro, Marsha (Albert) Haynes of Festus, Pamela James of Festus and Victoria James-Dickson of Webster Groves; and one grandson: Sebastian.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service officiated by the Rev. Donna Elliott is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
