Jean Ellen (Smith) Herrick, 74, of Imperial died Nov. 15, 2016, in Imperial. Mrs. Herrick was retired. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Born Nov. 22, 1941, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Minerva (Sigg) and Harry A. Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Norbert C. Herrick.
She is survived by four children: Dennis S. Herrick of Imperial, Sandy L. Herrick of Kansas City, Lisa M. Neislein of Imperial and Amy (Herrick) Bush of O’Fallon; seven grandchildren: Abby Herrick of Ballwin; Katie Herrick of Kona, Hawaii; Brittany Herrick of Vail, Colo.; Ryan Herrick of Kansas City, Zach Neislein of Imperial and Cole and Chloe Bush of O’Fallon; one great-grandchild: Kane Michael Neislein of Imperial; a son-in-law, Todd bush of O’Fallon; her in-laws; several lifelong friends; and her loyal pets, Sassy and Annabelle.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Patricia (Robert) Faucett.
A funeral service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at St. Johns Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Road, in Imperial, officiated by Father Rich. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
