Janice Carol Skaggs, 70, of Kimberling City, formerly of Crystal City, died Oct. 14, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Skaggs was a beautician. She earned a degree in hospitality from Jefferson College and went on to manage several hotels in the Branson area. She was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship in Pevely and Women’s Aglow. Born June 1, 1947, in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William and Pauline Stephens. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gary Skaggs.
She is survived by two brothers: Steve (Patricia) Stephens of Overland and Roy Dale (Jeanie) Stephens of New York; four children: Samantha (Daniel) Cathcart, Stephen (Stacy) Skaggs, Shyenne (Michael) Skaggs and Nichole Skaggs; five stepchildren: Aaron Gibbs, Richard Prugh, Zachery Skaggs, Yolanda Skaggs, and Sara Skaggs; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 6 p.m. and a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Victory Church, 1 Victory Drive, in Pevely, with a reception following at the church.
