James Harry Dawson, 82, of Imperial died Feb. 17, 2018, in Arnold. Mr. Dawson was a plan engineer for a printing company and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Born Nov. 28, 1935, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Zana (Rabenau) and Carl Dawson.
He is survived by his wife: Doris A. (Reitz) Dawson; two sons: James (Justine) Dawson Jr. of Imperial and Michael (Kimberley) Dawson of Loganville, Ga.; a daughter: Laura (Jonathan) Mears of Arnold; a brother: Bruce (Pat) Dawson of Winchester, Va.; and five grandchildren: Colleen, Jack, Abigail, Ethan and Claire.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Road, in Shady Valley. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
