Grace McKeen, 102, of De Soto died Aug. 18, 2018, at her home. Mrs. McKeen was retired from the De Soto Shoe Factory. Born May 22, 1916, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of the late Susie (Layman) and Preston Pigg. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Raymond Wilson and James “Jack” McKeen.
She is survived by a daughter: Darlene (the late Andrew “Andy”) Schlett of De Soto; three grandchildren: Karl Schlett of Bonne Terre, Daniel (Christine) Schlett of De Soto and Elaine Schlett of De Soto; three great-grandchildren: Felicia Tovar, Dustyn Schlett and Jarod Schlett; two great-great-grandchildren: Tayla Schlett and River Grace Tovar; and a brother: Cleo Pigg of De Soto.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Bertha Brauch and Alice Goodwin; and eight brothers: Ira, Claude, Floyd, Lloyd, Charles, Jesse, James and John Pigg.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, officiated by Brother Bob Thebeau. Burial is in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
