Gloria Jean Moiser, 78, of De Soto died July 23, 2022, in Festus. Mrs. Mosier worked at Universal Flavors and as a cook with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. She was born July 25, 1943, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late William Dewey and Stella Ann (Kunz) McCart.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Earl J. Moiser.
She is survived by a daughter: Karen (Chuck) Smith of Festus; a brother: Ronnie (Betty) McCart of St. Peters; two grandchildren: Rickey McKee Sr. and Danny Tidwell; five great-grandchildren: Rickey McKee Jr., Jesse James McKee, Daniel Cash Tidwell, Aubrey Tidwell and Izayah Ventura; and a friend: Teresa Messersmith.
She was preceded in death by 10 siblings: Judie Tisher, Thomas McCart, William “Mac” McCart, Joseph McCart, Juanita Kirkendial, Geneva Conell, Delores Pippin, Elmer “Mo” McCart, Clara Mosley and Bonnie Pippin.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., De Soto. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
