Gloria Jean “Jeannie” Linderer, 70, of Festus died Nov. 10, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Linderer was an LPN at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. She was an avid bird watcher and loved her pets. Born Oct. 26, 1948, in Richwoods, she was the daughter of the late Ester (Hayes) and Ralph Patton.
She is survived by her husband: Timothy J. Linderer; a son: John (Yoko Tezuka) Knoblauch of McKinney, Texas; a granddaughter: Jennifer Knoblauch; a brother: Don (Robin) Patton of De Soto; three sisters-in-law: Mary Linderer of Festus, Pam Rayburn of St. Louis and Patty Linderer of St. Louis County; a close cousin: Marsha Schmitt of Festus; a close aunt: Sheila (Joe) Adams of Richwoods; and two nieces: Sarah (Don) Yap of Houston, Texas, and Crystal Patton of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Ralph Edward Patton.
A memorial gathering is at 10:30 a.m. and memorial Mass will begin at noon Friday, Nov. 16, at Sacred Heart Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Father Clark Maes. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
