Geraldine Schumacher, 84, of House Springs died Aug. 3, 2020. Ms. Schumacher was a homemaker known for her lemon meringue pies. She loved to go for long car trips to watch eagles, stopping at every Walmart along the way. She found peace and joy while cutting grass and enjoyed listening to polka music. Born March 14, 1936, in Kirkwood, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Frank) Brosh.
She is survived by a daughter: Dorothy Schumacher; three grandchildren: Stephanie (Jeff) Cosgrove, Jennifer (Tony) Greenwood and Nicole (Eli) Ramirez; six great-grandchildren: David Asbridge, Annika Cosgrove, Oliver Ramirez, Xavier Ramirez, Devin Greenwood and Seth Greenwood; one great-great-grandchild: Ryder Asbridge; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two children: Norman Schumacher Jr. and John Schumacher; and one grandchild: Joshua Schumacher.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
