Gerald Craig “Jerry” Gebert, 72, of Festus died May 24, 2021, at his home. Mr. Gebert was retired from the parts department at Chrysler and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He was a member of Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge 1721, where he served as Exalted Ruler from April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and woodworking. Born May 29, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Carlyle “Carl” and Delores (Yagel) Gebert. He was preceded in death by his wife: Deborah Joan (Schramm) Gebert.
He is survived by two sons: Christopher (Kristy) Gebert of Festus and Gregory (Katie) Gebert of Wentzville; a sister: Sandra Girard of Green Valley, Az.; a grandson: Tyler; and a granddaughter: Kara (Suzy Elkins) of Festus, as well as Mary, Liz, Suzanne, Lisa, Teressa, Mandy and Shay.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Thomas Girard.
Funeral services and burial were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
