George John Orphan, 79, of Imperial died Aug. 8, 2021, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Orphan owned and operated Fenton Auto Repair for 40 years. He was a big-game hunter and a St. Louis County reserve police officer. He was of the Greek Orthodox faith. Born May 4, 1942, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Maria and John Orphan.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Carol (Nuspl) Orphan; two children: Kimberly Orphan of Fenton and Nick (Nancy) Orphan of House Springs; two siblings: Ann Peterson of St. Louis and Penny Chesnut of North Carolina; three grandchildren: Lindsey (Jake), Jessica and Sidney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two siblings: Koula Pitchford and Chris Orphan; and two brothers-in-law: Bill Pitchford and George Peterson of St. Louis.
Services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Schaefer Mortuary Service, Arnold.
