Frank Richard Forshee Sr., 80, of French Village died April 5, 2020, at his home. Mr. Forshee was a retired carpenter and enjoyed fishing, riding his side-by-side, playing poker and spending time with family and friends. Born Jan. 14, 1940, in De Soto, he was the son of the late William and Lucille (Gunnett) Forshee.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Peggy Ann (Haverstick) Holt of French Village; two sons: Frank R. Forshee Jr. of Hillsboro and Raymond (Phyllis) Forshee of Annapolis; two daughters: Rebecca (Pat) Batey of De Soto and Roxane (Ron) Hummel of Festus; a nephew: Rick Forshee of De Soto; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Russell Forshee; three brothers: Truman Forshee, Donald Forshee and Bill Forshee; and two sisters: Jeanette Almo and Jewel Haverstick.
There are no public services planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
