Floyd Paul Thebeau, 91, of De Soto died Oct. 3, 2021, at his home. Mr. Thebeau was a retired carpenter with Local 2214. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Amvets Post 48, Elks Lodge 689 and VFW Post 1831. Born Jan. 23, 1930, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Nellie P. (Chapple) Thebeau. He was preceded in death by his wife: Hazel Irene (Huskey) Thebeau.

He is survived by seven children: Paul (Vicki) Thebeau of Bonne Terre, Paula (Jim) Davis of De Soto, Donna Hammond of Pevely, Debbie Davis of De Soto, Danny (Candy) Thebeau of Bonne Terre, Pam (Don) Aylesworth of De Soto and Patty (Rusty) Hammond of De Soto; 17 grandchildren: Chastidy, Tonya, Jason, Christopher, Sarah, Jennifer, Danny, Shawn, Rachel, Bazil, Miles, Beth, Jeremy, Joshua, Ben, Gary and Adam; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by nine siblings: Edna Villmer, Walter Thebeau, Goldie Whitter, Pearl Ketcherside, Rachel Coleman, Stella Thebeau, Jack Thebeau, Frank Thebeau, and Homer Thebeau.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at the funeral home, officiated by Ollie Shoults. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Camp Hope, P.O. Box 52, Farmington, 63640. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
