Ethel Evelyn May Schepers, 96, Fenton
Ethel Evelyn May Schepers, 96, of Fenton died July 2, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Schepers served in the Australian Women’s Land Army. She came to the U.S. in 1946 as a WWII war bride and was a member of the War Brides Association. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and taking photos. Born April 23, 1925, in Paddington N.S.W., Australia, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ida O’Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Bernard Schepers.
She is survived by two sisters: Noreen Brien of Queensland, Australia, and Ida Patterson of Sydney, Australia; three sons: Charles Schepers Jr. of Texas, Kevin Schepers of Fenton and John (Carol) Schepers of Fenton; two daughters: Marjorie Pieper of Texas and Kathleen Tanner of Fenton; 14 grandchildren: Teri, Angela, Ricky, Heather, Ryan, Connie, Jacqueline, John II, Michael, Ashley, Michelle, Kevin Jr., Sophia and Celeste; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons: Patrick, Terrence and Laurence Schepers; two daughters: Pamela and Charlene Schepers; and two granddaughters: Kimberly and Shian.
Services will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 15) at VFW Post 2593, 2301 Church Road, in Arnold. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
