Esther L. (Walls) Weiss, 79, of Festus died June 25, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Weiss was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with family and friends. Born Sept. 26, 1941, in Luxora, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Florence (Walls) and Albert Garrett.
She is survived by her husband: Ray Weiss; three daughters: Stephanie (Bob) Noce of Bloomsdale, Lisa (Randy) Ramey of Festus and Dana DeRousse of Festus; a son: Scott (Lynn) Weiss of Festus; seven grandchildren: Steven Gerard, Kasey Robinson, James Weiss, Kelli Rapp, Chris and Joe Ramey and Lauren Shelton; several great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Garrett and Thompson “Bud” (Elizabeth survives of Festus) Garrett; a son-in-law: Donny DeRousse; and a granddaughter: Melissa (DeRousse) Carter.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Gamel Cemetery in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
