Dennis Wayne Belfield, 62, of Festus died Oct. 6, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Belfield was employed with KA Pazdera Hauling and had formerly worked for Doe Run lead plant and ABB as a laborer. He enjoyed trout fishing, tinkering in his garage and carpentry. Born Nov. 9, 1958, in Festus, he was the son of the late Beatrice (Dallas) and Howard Herbert Belfield.
He is survived by a son: Brandon Belfield of Festus; his former wife: Verna (Smith) Belfield of Festus; a brother: Ron (Carol) Belfield of De Soto; four nephews: Cody Bader, Ron Belfield Jr., Scott Lucas and Colin Belfield; and a sister-in-law: Kelly Belfield.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Gary Belfield; a sister: Denise Bader; and a niece: Cassie Bader.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
