David Paul Howard, 73, of Fenton died April 18, 2020, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Born Sept. 6, 1946, in Matthews, he was the son of the late Ollie Jane (Barrow) and Ernest E. Howard.
He is survived by his wife of 47 1/2 years: Carol (Hetzel) Howard; three children: Monica (Kris) Ehlers of Albert City, Iowa, Dan (Dara) Howard of St. Louis and Loren Howard of Columbia; and three grandchildren: Cameron, Madison and Molly, all of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Aleda, Elmer, Levoy, Arry, Larry, Odean, Joseph and Buford.
A private burial was held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
