David L. Baublitz, 88, of Herculaneum died Nov. 30, 2022, at his home. Mr. Baublitz was retired from McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. He enjoyed witty jokes and traveling, and was known for his sense of humor. Born July 30, 1934, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Hazel Moore. He was preceded in death by his wife: Geraldine Baublitz.
He is survived by a daughter: Karyn Laidlaw; a son: Ken Baublitz; a stepdaughter: Michelle Whitener; two granddaughters: Whitney (Jeremy Brixey) Jakubs and Christine Owen; a step-grandson: William Whitener; and eight great-grandchildren: Lillian, Jaxon, Willow, Mackenzie, Jett, Monroe, Nolan and Lacey. He was preceded in death by a son: Kevin Baublitz; and several siblings.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
