Daniel Wayne “Danny” Ritz, 65, formerly of Imperial, died June 6, 2015, at Scenic View Nursing Center in Herculaneum. Mr. Ritz, who was disabled, was a member of Peace Tabernacle Church in Hillsboro. Born April 23, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of Vera (Watkins) White of Hillsboro and the late Carl W. Ritz.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers: Mike (Debra) Ritz of New Athens, Ill., and Ricky Ritz of Hillsboro; and two sisters: Vicki (Gary) Bonkowski of Tucson, Ariz., and Frances (the late Tom) Cole of Byrnes Mill.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather: Gordon White.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Peace Tabernacle Church, 11096 Hwy. 21, in Hillsboro. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Association for Retarded Citizens. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
