Shuman, Dale

Dale Ernest Shuman, 74, of Fenton died Nov. 2, 2022, in St. Louis. Mr. Shuman was a welder. He known for his quiet wit and his contagious smile. Though not a fan of speaking in public, he made sure to make the rounds and talk to everyone. Born Sept. 17, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Virginia ( Fuchs) and Glenn Shuman Sr.

He is survived by eight siblings: Glenna Dolph of Canton, Ohio, Nancy Coleman of House Springs, Sheryl (Bob) Hunter of Canton, Ohio, Christine (Darrell “Wayne”) Hasty of Fenton, Rebecca (Keith) Jaros of Fenton, William Shuman of Dittmer, Patti (Tommy) Shirrell of House Springs and Glenn “Buck” (Kathy) Shuman Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Shuman.

Memorial visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Diabetes Association. A memorial service and burial will be determined later. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
